Considerations
Spinning is a tough workout, so it's not for individuals who must restrict cardiovascular activities. Unlike running and walking, spinning is non-impact. This means individuals with joint problems can participate fully. It is a cardiovascular workout and offers all the benefits of running or walking without the impact.
Individuals with balance, vertigo or proprioceptive problems may have issues with riding the spinning bike. Even though it's stationary, these conditions lead to issues with body position judgment, and these individuals may feel like they're falling.
What do I need to participate in a Spinning Class?
Other than the bike, which the fitness centre provides, you need to dress comfortably and bring along a water bottle and towel. Most people can use regular walking/running shoes, but if you have problems with your feet, harder soled spinning shoes/cycling shoe are recommended.

Warning: Individuals need clearance from a doctor before they begin participating in an exercise program, including spinning. This is especially important for those with chronic health conditions.
